What kinds of photography do you do?: I mainly focus on all sorts of portraiture - including headshots, both theatrical and business, high school seniors, families, pets, and even some specialized product illustrations. I especially love photographing women over 50 as I fit that demographic and firmly believe that we all deserve to look wonderful in pictures!
When should I book my session? Do you require a deposit to book a session?: We book out about a couple of weeks ahead - a little longer of we need to coordinate with our hair and makeup artist. Yes we do require a non-refundable fee in order to secure a date. The retainer will be due at the time of booking. In the event you need to cancel your session the retainer will be applied to your rescheduled session.
What time of the day do you shoot? Do you shoot on weekdays or weekends?: We are very flexible and we do not have specific days we don't photograph. Since we use strobes and shoot primarily indoors, we have the flexibility to photograph any time of the day. If we are doing an indoor/outdoor hybrid session we love evening light and schedule 2-3 hours prior to sunset.
How many outfits do I bring? Will there be help with styling? Do you have a style closet?: You know what looks you want but not sure how to achieve it? No worries I am here to help! Prior to your shoot we will have an in person, Zoom or phone consultation where we will discuss in detail how you wished to be photographed and you will receive a questionnaire which allows us to get to know you better. Yes we have a style closet consisting mostly of vintage dresses. We are more than happy to pull pieces we have to complete your looks. I recommend bringing approximately 5 outfits and see what works best on set.
Do your sessions include makeup? I don’t wear makeup, do you require it to book a session with you?: Our portrait sessions do include makeup and you can add hair and makeup to our other types of sessions. Using our hair and makeup artists makes a big difference in the final photograph. Our clients feel confident which comes through in their photographs. One of our biggest compliments is that our our retouched images do not appear over edited. We owe that to professional, camera ready HD makeup. If you don’t wear makeup, no worries our barely-there look will be perfect for you, it’s light and sheer but does a great job evening out skin tones and blemishes, yes even guys add on professional makeup. You may be amazing at applying makeup, however camera makeup is different than your everyday look. A full understanding of the right camera-ready products and application is essential for beautiful straight out of camera results.
Can I repost or share my images on social media?: Absolutely! We want you to share your experience and images with your friends and family. All we ask is that you tag us in your post.
Are pets allowed at my session?: Yes indeed! We have had chickens, dogs, cats and bunnies. We love animals and can they add a fun dynamic to the session.
When will I get to see my images?: We will schedule an ordering session 2-3 weeks after your shoot. The photo viewing will done in person at our studio or via Zoom. You will see approximately 22 to 32 fully edited photos and you will decide which photo collection you wish to purchase. You only purchase what you love.
